The Steinborn Home
This is a single-family home with two bedrooms available for guests; a guest could also sleep on the couch, and sleeping bags on the floor are fine too, to fit more persons. It is just one mile off Interstate 5 freeway in Wilsonville, a small town 25 miles south of Portland. A public transit center is within a fifteen-minute walk from this home, with bus service south to Salem, and trains and buses north to Portland. From here, you need drive only 90 minutes to reach the ocean, and 90 minutes to reach the mountains in the other direction.
Lewis & Clark College and George Fox University are within an easy drive. Wilsonville is the home of the World of Speed Motorsports Museum. Other nearby attractions include the Interactive Museum of Gaming and Puzzlery, the Canby Depot Museum (trains), and many parks, hiking trails, and a wildlife refuge. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. There is plenty of parking, a spacious courtyard, and a beautifully landscaped yard. Our host says, "I love spending time talking with visiting scholars, and I invite you to join me in local American activities, and I would enjoy showing you the sights in this beautiful area of the Northwest." |
